Piedmont Library Print Drop-Off

Very Important Info Please Read

It will be imperative to bring your photos to the library on Saturday, December 1st at 1:00 PM for hanging.  The library closes at 1:00 PM on Saturdays.  This will give us the rest of the afternoon to hang all the photos.  Hopefully, if we all cooperate in a coordinated effort we can have the job done in a couple of hours. Be sure to bring the completed release forms for each photo for the library records.  These forms are available below.  See you there…

Dues Increase for 2013

Just a reminder that our yearly dues will be increasing to $24.00 for the coming year.

With the increase in membership and costs it was decided to raise the yearly dues.  We feel that with all the club has to offer the increase was very reasonable.  We offer classes on using your camera, software and photography techniques.  We have discounts available from software vendors and retailers.  This new web site will offer tips and techniques via HD videos and documents.  All of this is FREE for members.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding the increase in dues.

4-H Photography Competition

Had a great afternoon today with the folks of 4-H.  Steve and I (Kaleb) were judges for the Western 4-H Family & Consumer Science Show‘s photography and scrapbook entries.   These were a great bunch of kids with some great talent.  They were very respectful and interested in what we had to say to help improve their submissions.  There sure is some great talent in these young folks.  I can’t say I was the best judge when it came to the scrapbook pages but I did my best.

Thanks to all that volunteered to help, even though they only needed two judges.  They were very, very grateful for our help and the Clubs fast and enthusiastic response to their request.

They did mention an interest in a few members from the club doing a presentation to some of the kids.  So something to keep in mind and let me know who might be interested.
