Video Exhibits provide a way to include Club member images without having to print them and where display space may be limited. A Video Exhibit is also a great way to showcase our Club and encourage new members.
Tom Kelley as Exhibit Chair contacted Black Hills Bagels to investigate the possibility of including a video exhibit at their venue to provide content for diners to view. Using the previous mall video and the 2024 BHPC End of Year Slideshow, Teresa Hofer prepared an updated video that includes images meeting the criteria of the Bagel Shop owner. The video was delivered on a flash drive by Tom to be played on a large screen TV at the Shop.
The current video was prepared from images already available in order to meet the Shop Owner's timeline. The goal is to update the video to include works from more of the BHPC membership, especially landscape and local architectural images, as desired by the Shop Owner. Club members are invited to submit images they would like to have included to a separate email set up and maintained by Suzy Adams. The email address is blackhillsphotographyclub@gmail.com. Images will be used to update the current video and/or prepare additional videos that meet the criteria of future venues that desire to use our video at their establishment. Images should be 300 dpi but can be any size, as the video software will automatically resize them.
The current video is available for Club Members to view at (https://youtu.be/KitoOggYA9k?feature=shared). Each image on the video includes the name of the artist and a reference number. The total video time is just under 30 minutes. Each image is viewed for 5 seconds. The video is deliberately plain without elaborate transitions to maximize focus on the Member images. Included on the video are instructions to contact info@blackhillsphotographyclub.com to inquire about purchasing prints. Kathi Buescher will contact individual members as she receives inquiries about specific prints. In addition, Club information will be left at the venue to advertise for new members.
If you know of venues that may be interested in our Video Exhibit, please contact Tom Kelley (tomkelley1966@gmail.com).
Members are encouraged to patronize Black Hills Bagel to show support and appreciation for displaying our Video Exhibit at their venue.
